Store windows are as reliable a harbinger of Spring as the budding of trees and flowers. These images from Correspondent Anna Lewis are part of the seasonal display at Houtie Couture at Flatbush Avenue and Seventh Avenue.

This photo of flowers starting to bloom came to us courtesy of the Gowanus Dredgers, which planted them at the foot of Second Street at the Gowanus Canal where they launch their canoes. The trailers in the background, by the way, are on property that would become part of the Toll Brothers Gowanus project.
It’s not a tree about to turn green or flowers, per se, but this storefront on Graham Avenue in Williamsburg is still a very powerful sign that spring is upon us.
Some traces of greenery starting to appear in Prospect Park.
This pic comes from Prospect Park in front of the Picnic House and it’s a real sight for sore eyes, with the caveat being that allergy sufferers might not be quite so stoked about it.

Our Carroll Gardens correspondent ventured to the far off corner of Brooklyn called Bay Ridge over the weekend and found that spring is even more far advanced there than it is in Carroll Gardens or Park Slope or environs. Excellent.
Saturday Greenmarket at Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn
From Seventh Avenue in Park Slope come big buds on the tress. Of course, it was pretty cold yesterday when we took the photo, but no matter, the trees are starting to bud.

This image from Van Brunt Street comes from our wonderful Carroll Gardens. Easter decorations are clear signs that the winter is almost over.
